Dennis Quaid could be heading for divorce court once again. The actor's wife Kimberly has filed for legal separation, citing irreconcilable differences. Earlier this year, Kimberly filed for divorce but withdrew the petition in a bid to save her marriage. After about six months, it seems that things haven't gotten any better. In addition to the filing, Kimberly is seeking full custody of the couple's five-year-old twins. According to a statement from the star's rep, there aren't a whole lot of specifics. "Kimberly and Dennis Quaid have decided to legally separate after eight years of marriage," said the statement. "They ask that their privacy and the privacy of their family be respected during this difficult time. No further statement will be given." This is the third marriage for Dennis, who has had quite an interesting love life. Here is a look back at some of his notable ex-flames.
Dennis's most famous ex-lover is the romantic comedy queen, whom he was married to from 1991 through 2001. They had a son together, but the marriage ended under sour circumstances. There was speculation that Russell Crowe came between the two, but Meg eventually sang a different tune. "It was a great story," she said when talking about the negative press she received over Russell. "But what wasn't in the story was the reality of my marriage for nine years. Dennis was not faithful to me for a long time, and that was very painful. I found out more about that once I was divorced."
Dennis married the "Halloween" actress in 1978, and they stayed together until 1983. The two co-starred in a couple of movies in the late 1970s, including the sports flick "Our Winning Season." After the marriage ended, P.J. went on to marry pilot Skip Holm, with whom she had two children. Her movie career never recaptured the glory she had in the late 1970s and early 1980s, but she still appears in movies to this day. Her most notable role in recent years came in the Rob Zombie horror flick "The Devil's Rejects."
Before tying the knot with rocker Travis Barker and becoming a major reality star, Shanna had a short relationship with Dennis in the early 2000s. The beauty queen had high hopes for the romance, which began shortly after Dennis's split from Meg. We kind of brought it up to the next level," she said in 2001. "We're in a monogamous relationship, we're happy." However, the next level never happened and the relationship ended a short time later.
