LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Dennis Quaid is firing back at ex-wife Meg Ryan for continuing to publicly discuss their divorce and alleged infidelity that took place in their relationship.

While promoting her recent film, "The Women," Meg told InStyle, "Dennis was not faithful to me for a long time, and that was very painful."

The actress repeated the infidelity allegation to ABC's Diana Sawyer, saying, "I just feel like every now and then you have to fill in the gaps for people."

Now, Dennis has responded to Meg's claims.

"It was eight years ago, and I find it unbelievable that Meg continues publicly to rehash and rewrite the story of our relationship. Also, I find it regrettable that our son, Jack, has to be reminded in a public way of the turmoil and pain that every child feels in a divorce," he told The New York Daily News' Rush & Molloy.

The actor, who is now married and has twins with Kimberly Buffington, went on to say, "I, myself, have moved on years ago and am fortunate to have a happy, beautiful family."

Dennis also squashed recent reports that his custody and visitation rights to their son, Jack, are linked to his sobriety.

"Meg and I have always had joint custody of Jack without any stipulations whatsoever," he said.

Has anyone here read the InStyle interview? Actually Ryan is very kind to Quaid. She takes her responsibility in the break-up...something Quaid's never done. Instead he plays the Jack card. Give us a break, Jack knows what happened. Quaid didn't speak up because his career took off again at the time of the divorce when he gained the public's sympathy. He cheated then &a

Meg, move on! Don't continue to wallow in self-pity. That was EIGHT years ago. Talk about your infidelity, leave his past in the past. You obviously want to live in the past so talk about yours and not his.

Who gives a flying cow. If she wants to stir up things to keep herself in the spot light-let's hear about HER infidelities. Or do the kid a favor and quit embarassing him.

The woman apparently has issues and needs some closure. It seems as if she nothing else to focus on but the negative. Be optimistic. Somewhere along the line, Meg hasn't forgiven herself or Dennis and until she does, she won't have the inner peace she needs to continue ahead. Move on Meg. The future is brighter than you see it now. Forgive and forget. That'll give you clo

I grew up with Randy and Dennis and was in a place where I ran into them in Houston and they were both so messed up they did not remember yesterday much less old friends. Hollywood is a good place to avoid.

  • Some famous people air-out their dirty laundry and move on like Hillary and Bill Clinton. So Meg, do us a favor, forgive the deeds of the past and just move on. . .

The article states Meg says that she wasn't the "only one" to be unfaithful. If they strayed then each has accountability. Dennis's comments are related to Meg making their son having to again deal with the divorce in the media. His network of freinds would be very in tune to Hollywood gossip. I agree with Dennis, whatever Meg's continuing issues, she
