NEW YORK, New York -- Dennis Hopper is being treated at a hospital in New York City for flu-like symptoms.
A rep for the 73-year-old actor confirmed to the Associated Press Hopper is being checked out at a NYC hospital after developing stomach ailments that usually accompany the flu.

A source told Access Hollywood that Hopper began feeling ill just before he was due to make a series of promotional appearances for the second season of his Starz television show, "Crash," on Wednesday morning.
Hopper was at MSNBC's "Morning Joe" show early Wednesday when some type of illness seemed to set in. Hopper left before he had a chance to appear on air. His absence was explained on the program.

Hopper canceled on "Morning Joe" and several other NBC appearances including "Today" and "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon."
The iconic actor has starred in countless films during his lengthy career, including "Speed" with a young Sandra Bullock and the legendary "Easy Rider" with Jack Nicholson and Peter Fonda.
He is currently starring in "Crash" on the Starz network alongside Eric Roberts and Jennifer Love Hewitt's ex-fiancee, Ross McCall.

Last week, it was announced that Hopper is set to star with Scott Caan, former "Battlestar Galactica" star Tricia Helfer and J.K. Simmons, who played Ellen Page's father in "Juno," in the film "A Beginner's Guide To Endings."
