David Hasselhoff says that the reports claiming he was rushed to an L.A. hospital after suffering alcohol poisoning Saturday are untrue.
"Mr. Hasselhoff was at no time in the condition described in those stories," his lawyers, Melvin Goldsman and Marci Levine, told Usmagazine.com in a statement Monday. "Mr. Hasselhoff spoke to his attorneys on Sunday and was absolutely fine."
The former
Baywatch star reportedly had a .39 blood alcohol level and was taken to Cedars-Sinai medical center after his daughter Hayley, 16, found him unconscious on the floor of his home in Encino, Calif.,
RadarOnline.com first reported. According to the site, his estranged ex-wife -- actress Pamela Bach, who lives 10 minutes away in Hollywood -- drove him to the hospital after her daughter called.
Although he did stay at the hospital overnight, Goldsman told Us that Hasselhoff was sick with possible food poisoning and only a "very slight amount" of alcohol contributing to his illness.
"Mr. Hasselhoff is both disturbed and saddened by the fact that a certain individual is disseminating grossly inaccurate stories about him to the press for ulterior motives," his lawyers told Us.
