Comedian David Cross finally admitted what many people suspected: He snorted cocaine near President Barack Obama. Cross, 47, spilled the beans on the 2009 incident in a new interview with Playboy.
"[I]t wasn't even that much cocaine," the former "Arrested Development" actor said. He estimates that he was about 65 feet away from the president when he snorted the "tick-sized" amount of cocaine.
"I ducked under the table and did it. It wasn't like I got high. The jolt was similar to licking an empty espresso cup."
Classy. Cross -- now engaged to actress Amber Tamblyn -- doesn't feel bad about it, but he does feel bad for dragging his then-girlfriend into it.
"I was her date, her plus-one, and she got dragged through the mud because of what I did," he said of Tamblyn. "She had nothing to do with it. She didn't know I was going to do it. And because of that she'll never be invited to the White House again. That's not cool."
Believe it or not, Cross isn't the only celebrity to do bad things in a high-profile place. Okay, you probably do believe it - celebs aren't exactly known for their discretion.
Country singer -- and notorious pot advocate -- Willie Nelson admitted that he smoke on the roof at the White House while Jimmy Carter was president. He even wrote about the night in his autobiography, "Willie: An Autobiography."
"Sitting on the roof of the White House in Washington, D.C., late at night with a beer in one hand and a fat Austin Torpedo in the other, I drifted into a reflective mood," he wrote. The music icon went on to describe how his companion explained the geography of D.C. to him while he smoked.
"Nobody from the Secret Service was watching us -- or if they were, it was with the intention of keeping us out of trouble instead of getting us into it," he added.
Actress Scarlett Johansson went through a wild streak a few years ago -- and she even admitted to hooking up with actor Benicio del Toro in a service elevator at the Chateau Marmont after the 2004 Academy Awards.
"We were making out or having sex or something, which I think is very unsanitary," she said.
Del Toro didn't exactly deny it, either.
"Did I ever have sex in an elevator with Scarlett Johansson after an awards show? I kind of like, you know, I, well. I don't know. Let's leave that to somebody's imagination."
However, the ex-wife of Ryan Reynolds later said it was a sarcastic comment taken out of context.
"I never had sex with Benicio Del Toro in an elevator. It was a sarcastic quote that I unfortunately gave to a journalist and it was taken out of context," she told OK! Magazine.
We're not buying it, Scarlett.
Seventies rock and roll icon Grace Slick admitted to Time Out Chicago in 2008 that she tried to slip then-Pres. Richard Nixon some LSD while at the White House.
What's with all the White House shenanigans?
"I put 600 mics of acid under a long fingernail I had for cocaine, and we go and we're standing in line, and the security guard comes up to me and says, 'I'm sorry you can't go in. You're a security risk,' she said in the interview… And I found out that the members of Jefferson Airplane were on a list because of 'suspect lyrics.'"
We wonder if maybe the whole Vietnam War would have ended if Nixon "expanded his mind" with LSD. Guess we'll never know.
