David Arquette Files for Divorce from Courteney Cox

David Arquette has filed for divorce from Courteney Cox, TMZ reports.

Arquette cited "irreconcilable differences" and is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their daughter Coco, who turns 8 on Wednesday. He is not asking for spousal or child support. According to documents obtained by TMZ, Arquette does not have a lawyer and will representing himself in the divorce.

Arquette, 40, and Cox, who turns 48 on Friday, met on the set of the first Scream film. The couple was married exactly 13 years ago Tuesday, on June 12, 1999. They announced their split in October 2010.

It's been a busy 48 hours for Arquette. On Monday, he had a Bar Mitzvah in Jerusalem, where he had traveled to Jerusalem to shoot a segment for his Travel Channel show Mile High, according to the Associated Press. The ceremony took place at Jerusalem's Western Wall, which is considered the holiest place for Jews to pray. Arquette's mother is Jewish and his father became a Muslim when he was a child.
