LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- He may not have won "Dancing With the Stars," but Cristian de la Fuente is winning the battle against his injured bicep.

The Latin heartthrob, who is gearing up for the premiere of his new show - USA's "In Plain Sight" - had surgery to repair a tendon that separated in his bicep during the "Dancing" season.

"I was able to get a perfect repair of the bicep," Cristian's doctor, Neal S. Elattrache told People. "Cristian will spend about a week in a splint, then start rehab."

And there is more good news for Cristian fans. It appears the actor-turned-ballroom-star will have no permanent injuries.

Why do you think its fake? Many many people rupture and/or tear tendons and do not have the money to repair it right away and still function in every day life. My husband tore his 2 yrs ago and its in his leg. He can still walk. He can still function. He cannot afford to take the time off from work seeing as he already had to take almost 2yrs off from the original injury that created this problem
