Lisa Vanderpump may have been eliminated from ABC's "Dancing With the Stars," but that doesn't mean she'll have a lot of free time on her hands! The reality star's departure from the show -- after a sickly cha cha following a flu bug -- just means she'll have more time to devote to her other jobs, which include managing two posh restaurants and starring on two reality TV shows.
While she said she was happy that she competed on "Dancing With the stars," Vanderpump also conceded, "This was the hardest thing I've ever done."
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Vanderpump revealed the dancing competition really took its toll on her schedule - and her health.
"Last week we caught the red eye after a two-day show, worked for Bravo 'til midnight, came back, did the next show, went straight to rehearsals," she said. "Coupled with sore throat, swollen glands ... Put it all together and five hours dancing is a lot." But she has no regrets on doing on the show-or lasting for four weeks. "We knew we weren't going to win," she said. "I'm competing against an Olympian and a 16-year-old dancer."
So now it's business as usual for the reality restaurateur.
Of her reality TV stints on the Bravo shows "Vanderpump Rules" and "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," Vanderpump recently tweeted: "Yes #pumprules is coming back, so is RhofBH and yes I am opening another restaurant, in boys town!#GLAAD All rumors true."
Sounds like she's busier than ever!
Lisa Vanderpump recently told Zagat there's a difference between her two L.A.-area eateries: "Villa Blanca is where you take your wife and Sur is where you take your mistress," she said.
She also described her approach to restaurant management, saying, "I know it sounds cliché, but the customer is nearly always right. The customer comes in there, they want a great experience, and that is my responsibility to give it to them … I am very ambiance driven. As important as the food is, I love the huge flower arrangements, I love the great lighting, I love music, I love a complete experience."
That food experience will be documented on the second season of "Vanderpump Rules," where cameras follow the behind-the-scenes antics of her Sur wait staff. Meanwhile, her other Bravo show, "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," will be back for a fourth season, and although the cast hasn't yet been announced, it doesn't sound like the show's diamond and rose' loving diva is ready to throw in the towel just yet.
Earlier this year, Lisa told the website gossipdavid.com, "I obviously won't be on 'Housewives' forever - it's not a never-ending job, but I have such an attachment to Andy Cohen, I really, really do. I really do love him and the production company, they have so much integrity."
"Dancing With the Stars" airs on Mondays and Tuesdays on ABC.
