Everyone knows that the real stars of ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" are the pro dancers! Not only are the pros responsible for all of their own choreography, but they come with a built in fan base. And fourteen seasons in, it can be a pretty big fan base.
With the "DWTS" Season 14 cast announcement set for next week, many long time fans just want to know if they can expect to see popular pros like Derek Hough and Cheryl Burke next season. (Hint: what do you think?)
During a recent appearance on "Good Morning America," pro dancer Cheryl Burke left no room for doubt as to her status when she said of "DWTS": "We start training in three weeks." Burke also put in her bid for her dream partner: NFL player Victor Cruz.
Golden boy and three-time "DWTS" winner Derek Hough has been Mr. ABC lately. After a recent guest hosting stint on "Live With Kelly," this week he joined Kelly Ripa in Hawaii where he said he doesn't know who his new "DWTS" partner is, but added, "I'm going into my ninth season." He also dished on how he likes to see his partner grow and called the whole process "very rewarding." Sounds like a guy who knows his status.
Longtime pro dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy caused all sorts of drama last season when he lashed out at esteemed judge Len Goodman and told him maybe it was time to step down from his "DWTS" judging post. Chmerkovskiy also said that of the dancing competition: "This is my show," a remark that didn't win him any kudos from his pro dancer peers.
But despite rumors that the hotheaded Ukrainian dancer could finally be calling it quits from "Dancing With the Stars," in a recent interview with People, Maks said, "l love the show and I love what it stands for. I definitely want to keep doing it." A hunky hothead known for causing drama? We'd say the job is his if he wants it!
Earlier this week, "DWTS" spoiler site @dwtsgossip leaked what they call are "confirmed" pros.

If these spoilers are true (and they usually are, by the way!), that means you can add Mark Ballas, Chelsie Hightower, Val Chmerkovskiy Tony Dovolani, Anna Trebunskaya, Karina Smirnoff, Kym Johnson and Peta Murgatroyd to the list of definite pro dancers.
The "Dancing With the Stars" Season 14 cast announcement will be made live on February 28 during ABC's "Good Morning America."
