Ethan Peck has been cast in the CW pilot The Selection, Deadline reports.
Set 300 years in the future, the project is about a young woman named America (Friday Nights Lights alum Aimee Teegarden) who is chosen via lottery to participate in a competition to find the next queen. Peck will play Prince Maxon, whom America is reluctantly vying to marry.

Peck, who is the grandson of famous actor Gregory Peck, previously appeared on the ABC Family series 10 Things I Hate About You and CW's Gossip Girl.
