  • Couldn't we remake this picture with William Shatner and Richard Simmons?

I agree it would be a mistake but what we all forget is that the remake is to update the movie with the new special effects that are available today that weren't in 1969 and to capture the market that was not even born at the time. As for me it is a movie that was perfect the first time and I won't see a remake of it no matter who is in the title roles.

Ok for the last time Hollywood: STOP WITH THE REMAKES! Get a original damn idea of your own. Adapt a book. Anything, but stop with the remakes. If I want to see these movies again I'll rent them from Netflix or something.

A remake of a classic like Butch and Sundance would be a misktake. There is no replacing the original. Why does Hollywood keep trying to bring back old themes and make them new again? Some movies should be left as is.
