Cougar Town is in early talks to move to TBS if ABC cancels it, Deadline reports.

The Courteney Cox-led ensemble has consistently struggled in the ratings, despite showrunner Bill Lawrence's grassroots efforts to grow the audience. Its most recent episode scored 4.9 million viewers, coming in fourth place in its timeslot.

"Should the show become available, [Turner Entertainment Networks] looks at all opportunities presented to us that fit our brand," a rep for TBS' parent company said, declining further comment.

Should the show switch networks, it won't be the first time for creator Bill Lawrence. Scrubs moved to ABC after NBC canceled it in 2008.
