    Comedian Patrice O'Neal Dies at 41

    Comedian Patrice O'Neal has died after suffering a stroke last month. He was 41.

    The Opie and Anthony Show, where O'Neal was a frequent guest, announced the news Tuesday on Twitter. "Yes it's true that our pal Patrice O'Neal has passed away. The funniest and best thinker i've ever known PERIOD."

    A Boston native, O'Neal made his Def Jam Comedy debut in 2007. He's had specials on Showtime, HBO, Comedy Central, was a regular on Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn and hosted VH1's Web Junk 2.0. In 2006, he joined Opie and Anthony's Traveling Virus Comedy Tour, playing in outdoor arenas across the country.

    O'Neal had been an Opie and Anthony regular since 2002 and also hosted his own relationship advice show on XM radio in 2006.

    As an actor, O'Neal appeared on Arrested Development, The Office, and in the films 25th Hour and Head of State.

    O'Neal made his last TV performance at the Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen in September.
