Apparently Clint Eastwood and family are ready to be the next Kardashians. TMZ reports that Clint’s wife Dina Eastwood, their daughter Morgan and Clint's 18-year-old daughter Francesca, who is an aspiring actress, will be starring in a Kardashian-like family reality show set to air on the E! Network. Oh goodie gum drops! So glad that one of the most well-respected film icons has agreed to go the way of the reality bird. Ugh.
Yes this information is real and yes if you look outside – hell hath frozen over.
Sources connected to the production told TMZ that the show will explore living the life of "Hollywood royalty." The show's main focus will be on the relationship between Dina and daughter Morgan and actress Francesca, who is Clint's daughter with Frances Fisher.
And this is the part that gets my Dirty Harry-loving self: Though he will not be a main character on the show, the 81-year-old Clint has agreed to make a couple of cameos. No, Clint! No! In my nightmare, Clint the Great will soon be suckered into filming himself at naked yoga, waxing his assh*hole and taking part in an elaborate sham of a wedding – a la the Kardashians.
The show is being produced by Real World/Road Rules reality superstars Bunim/Murray, who also produce all of the Kardashian reality shows. I fear that if it's up to the producers, cameras will catch a fist-pumping Clint Eastwood doing Jager bombs in the kitchen before stumbling into the Confessional to do old-timey Dirty Harry impressions of himself and to unload about his bitchy daughters. I see potential good times ahead …
According to TMZ, producers are hoping to get the show on the air in the next few months. God help us.
