Clint Eastwood Denies Obama Support: Other Famous Celebrity Repubicans

Clint Eastwood is taking some heat for his political beliefs!

Clint Eastwood is taking some flak from the right after his Super Bowl ad for Chrysler. As one of the top Republicans in Hollywood, Eastwood carries the mantle for a political party that is anything but revered in the entertainment industry. But the ad seemed to set off conservatives that thought Eastwood was endorsing Barack Obama. Eastwood quickly responded by saying that isn't the case and that he hasn't endorsed anyone. That should help Republicans breathe a sigh of relief. But should Eastwood bounce to the other side of the political spectrum the party would still have some Hollywood help. Here is a look at some of the most notable celebrity Republicans.

    Chuck Norris

This one comes as no surprise. Norris is one of the big faces of the Hollywood Republicans. The action star is so famous for being tough that there is a series of jokes about it. But he is equally tough in the political spectrum. Norris has supported Mike Huckabee in the past and now has gotten on the Newt Gingrich wagon. Norris seems to throw his weight behind underdogs that don't get much noteworthy support.

    Adam Sandler

This might surprise many people. The star of slapstick comedies and alum of "Saturday Night Live" seems like he would be another Hollywood liberal. However, Sandler actively supported Rudy Giuliani in the 2008 election and is a registered Republican voter. Perhaps people don't think that because Sandler doesn't call attention to himself. Like many Hollywood conservatives he seems to keep it quiet.

    Kelsey Grammer

Grammer often came off as obnoxious when he played Frasier Crane on two long running sitcoms. But the man is more of a pioneer in terms of being a Hollywood conservative. Not only has he been openly proud of his right leaning style but he has gone as far as to say it is easy. It is kind of like Grammer is the George Clooney of the celebrity Republicans. He shows up at events and promotes the party. He seems to be a dream come true for the party.

    50 Cent

When thinking about rappers the last thing you might think about is the Republican Party. But several in the rap community have endorsed the right. Despite the content of his songs, 50 Cent has given several endorsements to the Republican Party in the past. He famously sided with George Bush after the infamous Kanye West incident. He has toned down political talk in recent years but the Republicans might have a voice for a new generation of voters if they play their cards right.
