Christina Aguilera and Other Celebs Channeling "My Little Pony" With Ombre Hair

    Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera is rocking the latest hair trend -- ombre hair. In case you're not hip to the trend, ombre refers to two-toned strands that mimic long faded hair color, which has been uber-popular for the past few years. Huffington Post recently implied that Christina was too late to embrace the trend and even implied she looked like "My Little Pony." The pop star recently donned the look for a red carpet appearance.

But perhaps they're right. In 2011, Cosmopolitan magazine acknowledged that the fad was dying. That never stopped the rebellious few---or many, who have kept this half-n-half color trend from completely fizzling away. Here are some celebs that have made the style their own…

Drew Barrymore - "The Ultimate Bed-head"

In February 2012, Drew's dark brown roots and blonde tips were fashioned into a loose and wavy style. The perpetually windblown look seemed a natural option for her overall whimsical style. Barrymore's ombre effect was so naturally unintentional that Cosmopolitan magazine implied that the "Whip It" actress had revived the trend.

Ciara - "The Extreme Root Growth Look"

At Clive Davis' Pre-Grammy bash in February, "Goodies" singer Ciara caused quite a stir with her dual-toned 'do. Her bleached blonde tresses nearly overpowered the few inches of the R&B star's dark roots, which yielded mixed reviews. But she's also worn a more gradual version of the fad.

    Khloe Kardashian

    - "The I'm-Not-Like-the-Others Look"

Khloe is often seen with her dark brown locks fading effortlessly into light-brown highlights. Height and voluptuousness aside, this reality star has used the ombre effect to her advantage - effectively distinguishing herself from her raven-haired sisters.

    Raven-Symone- "The Rapunzel Look"

The former child star of "The Cosby Show" took the style to extremes while attending the 2010 Soul Train Music Awards. With waist-length waves that went from chestnut to auburn to strawberry blonde, Raven made a glamorous statement.

    Nicki Minaj - "Candy-Coated Style"

Perhaps that "My Little Pony" jab should have been tossed in the direction of "Starships" singer Nicki Minaj. The rapper is notorious for her candy-hued hairdos and has rocked the ombre style in just about every color in the spectrum. She truly gives new meaning to the phrase "taste the rainbow".
