Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook have not reached a settlement in their ongoing divorce battle.

Both sides met behind closed doors Wednesday to try to resolve custody disputes but returned to the courtroom later in the day, according to the New York Post.

Details of those talks are unknown.

Asked earlier if the day if a settlement, Brinkley, 54, pressed her palms together and told reporters, "It's what I hope and pray for," the Post reports.

On Wednesday morning, two of Brinkley's former colleagues testified that she always put her children before her work.

An agent said she even turned down two offers to appear in French Vogue this year alone so she could stay at home with the kids, according to the Post.

Four additional witnesses are expected to testify today.

Brinkley and Cook, 49, are currently fighting for custody of their children, Jack, 13, and Sailor, 10.

On Tuesday, a court-appointed psychologist testified that Brinkley deserved full custody because Cook's narcissism "could cause harm" to their children.

The doctor also said that Brinkley (who has wed four different guys) needed "to start working on deeper issues," including "her choice of male figures."

they'll be no settlement. Didn't she hear the shrink, he wants the world to revolve around him. That loser just wants money now since no self respecting woman will be seen with him. Maybe Spitzers whore is available for $3000 per hour.

I feel sorry for Mr. Cook because he threw away a beautiful life with a wife and kids. When there are children and a spouse strays, he not only betrays his wife but his children. So now these poor souls must be schuffed around between to parents. And Please Mr.Cook and Chrissy please do not speak badley of each other to your children do not burden them because of you mistakes. God Bless all !

I wish her the best it is very hard to have your personal business all over the front page and if thats not bad enough, we have the internet too! She seem to be a very nice person, some poor girls just seem to have bad luck with men. I am sure he showed his best face forward when courting. That judge had no right to say that to her. I wish her well and her children. I do feel sorry for Mr. Cook .
