As he continues to apologize publicly for beating ex-girlfriend Rihanna, Chris Brown says he doesn't know why people have a hard time believing that he is remorseful.

"The steps that Ive taken to show that Im sorry probably have been perceived wrong," Brown, 20, says in an interview on The Wendy Williams Show Friday (check your local listings)."Certain things when Im doing certain interviews and how my posture is to how Im acting.

"At the end of the day, Im definitely remorseful and its not something that I take lightly or think that its like under the rug," he goes on. "I really think its something that is a serious matter and Im learning from it."

The New York Post reports that Brown still can't live down the attack.
The paper posts a video of a woman getting within a few feet of him Wednesday in NYC and screaming: "[bleep]ing beater!" and "I hope someone beats the [bleep]ing [bleep] out of you!"
Brown just smiles and walks past her.
