Cheryl Burke wants to be the next "Bachelorette." As she tells Us Weekly, she wants to find love, but her work schedule doesn't really give her the opportunity to meet new people.
And her recent dating experiences haven't been so positive. As she explains, "Over the summer I dated a couple of guys and it turned out all bad, so I just figured if someone were to make the choice for me then maybe I'd have a better chance of meeting someone good!"
Cheryl is already in talks with "Bachelorette" producers. Although they have not made a firm offer, she's made it clear that she is interested.
While many "Dancing With the Stars" fans would root for Cheryl find love, we're also wondering if Karina Smirnoff might make a better "Bachelorette." Who would be a better choice?
Between Cheryl and Karina, I prefer Cheryl's look. While Karina has a better body, Cheryl has a better face and a more unique look.
Of course, it's a matter of personal taste, and it all depends on what the guys prefer. And we don't see them complaining about Karina's looks. She's been able to land attractive guys like Mario Lopez, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, and Brad Penney.
Karina's dating history raises a bit of a red flag. Although she's been able to attract hot guys, she's also experienced some humiliating breakups (Mario Lopez, anyone?). She's also had two failed engagements with Maks and Brad.
Given her history, we're not sure Karina would be able to find long-lasting love, especially on reality TV. We've already watched two seasons of serial fiancee Emily Maynard. Do we want to go down that road again?
Cheryl, on the other hand, doesn't date much. Back in June, she even admitted to not having dated in two years. She might be more invested in finding a long-term relationship.
Cheryl has a great all-around personality. She has a positive attitude, a big heart, and a strong work ethic. She is easily one of the most likable pros on the show.
Meanwhile, Karina is well-rounded. In addition to her accomplishments in the dance world, she also has degrees in economics and information system programming.
However, she is a bit of a drama queen. Recent examples include her meltdown after she and Apolo Anton Ohno performed a mediocre hip-hop routine a few weeks ago.
While we think Cheryl would be much easier to get along with, "Bachelorette" producers might prefer a more volatile personality to bring in the ratings.
Between Cheryl and Karina, I think Karina would be a better choice.
Cheryl wants to find true love, and as history has shown, the "Bachelor" franchise has a poor track record of producing long-lasting relationships. She's probably be better off finding her soul mate in the real world.
Meanwhile, Karina would give the producers what they want, lots of dramatic confrontations, a tumultuous love story, and a high-profile public breakup that would keep "Bachelorette" in the news months after her season ends.
Who do you think would be a better "Bachelorette"?
