"Both [Petal] and Jools are doing well. The Olivers would like to thank midwives Linda Ordish and Elaine Porter and also obstetrician William Dennis for their wonderful help and support," a rep for the celebrity chef said in a statement. "Jamie and Jools are both completely smitten with Petal already, and Jamie is looking forward to two weeks paternity leave to spend quality time with his four beautiful girls."

Just two days ago Jamie was busy cooking for President Obama and numerous world leaders at the G20 summit in London.

Why do celebrities think it is nice to give their children names that even a comic book character would be embarrassed to have. Do they not realize what it is going to be like for these children after they start school and have to go through life being the blunt end of cruel jokes?

  • You shouldn't name your children as frivolously as you name your pets! The years of psychotherapy and huge psychologist bills make it a really bad idea. How about those daily beatings the kids will get in school? Trust me, they'll only grow up to hate you!

I loved his show, The Naked Chef, when it first came on and he was just Jamie Oliver, single guy, fun cooking, having his buds over, every now and then mentioning his girlfriend Jools, playing drums in his band, riding around town on his scooter. He's too mainstream for me now. Nice while it lasted....
