Kelly Osbourne was ecstatic to show off her manicure at the 2012 Primetime Emmys - after all, it was done with a super expensive nail polish. The E! "Fashion Police" star was chosen to wear Azature nail polish featuring 267 carats of crushed black diamond powder. The luxe laquer rings up at staggering $250K per bottle.
Naturally, she was pumped.
"So excited & honored but absolutely s******ng myself to have that much money on my nails!" she wrote on Instagram, along with a photo of her nails.
Fans weren't so happy for her, though.
"That must be nice to waste that much money!! Both my vehicles quit now I have no transportation and I feel helpless," one fan responded, according to the New York Daily News. "I cant even get another car so to even have that kind of money to waste must be nice."
Well, she didn't pay for it. Still, she wasn't going to feel bad for it.
"I see that my nail polish has offended some of you, however I see your point, but it was a once in a lifetime experience," she tweeted. "Please forgive me for not regretting it. It made me feel like a queen!"
Osbourne might be the latest celebrity to wear expensive polish, but she not the first - or the last.
Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez has a taste for the finer things in life - and her nail polish is no exception. Lopez wore the same Azature polish earlier this month, according to a post on the polish's official Facebook page.
Rihanna rocked a $5,000 manicure at the Grammys in 2012, courtesy of Amor 24 gel nail polish by Red Carpet Manicures.
"Rihanna likes to pioneer new styles but it's costing her a fortune," a source told the UK Daily Mail at the time. The reason for the huge price tag on the polish? It has flecks of real gold, according to the company.
It's not the only expensive manicure the "We Found Love" singer has rocked recently, though: She wore a ruby-infused polish recently and showed it off on Twitter.
"#rubys in my damn gel polish!!! 4 caratz," she tweeted.
Must be rough.
Katy Perry might not spend $250K on one bottle of nail polish, but she does rack up quite a manicure bill. The singer and actress is always rocking a different look on her claws, including looks with real lace and neon colors.
Our favorite, though? Her recent manicure inspired by the MTV cartoon "Daria."
"It doesn't get any better than hand painted DARIA nails by the girls at ES Nails TOKYO!" she tweeted, along with a photo of her hand-painted nails.
What do you think of super expensive manicures?
