Christina Milian has a lot on her plate right now: She's the social media correspondent on "The Voice" and is gearing up to release new music this fall. Oh, and she's a mom, too! However, right now she's focusing on her debut swimwear collection, Havana Nights, a partnership with Nicolita designer Nicole DiRocco.
Milian even walked the runway in support of the line during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Miami earlier this week. The looks are "very flowy and beachy, but glamorous, so you can keep that fabulous look when you're in or out of the water from day to night," Milian said of the line. "We just wanted to make a collection that reflects my personality but keeps the allure of Nicolita that I love so much."
That's all well and great - and we like the swimsuits -- but we're more interested in her runway hairstyle. Love the curls! We checked in with her stylist to get the details on recreating the look at home.
Step 1: Brush your hair prior to styling then separate your hair in one-inch sections.
Step 2: Apply a heat protecting spray to dry strands. Turn on your curling iron - like the Brilliance New York Clipless Iron - and set it to a high temperature.
Step 3: Wrap a one-inch section around the iron.
Step 4: Hold the curl on the iron for five to eight seconds and then let it fall gently.
Step 5: Repeat until each one-inch sections is curled.
Step 6: Set with hairspray.
Pretty simple, right?
Milian is one gorgeous girl, but she's learned that it's not all about beauty -- especially when it comes to relationships. The actress and singer told Niecy Nash that she's learned a lot about what's important in relationships after the breakup of her marriage to music producer The-Dream.
"Sometimes we are just so carried away with love and we might even mistake some things like lust for love," Milian said. " Beauty has nothing to do with it."
