A weekend of fun turned into heartbreak for Usher and his ex-wife, Tameka Foster: Her 11-year-old son, Kyle Glover, was pronounced brain dead after a jet ski hit him in the head on Lake Lanier, Georgia.
Usher flew to Kyle's bedside on Sunday night, according to US Weekly - and he remains there as Foster makes the heartbreaking decision whether or not to take him off life support.
A representative for Georgia's Department of Natural Resources said the department's Critical Incident Response Team will reconstruct the accident to figure out how fast the jet-skier was traveling at the time of the accident. Police will then decide whether or not to file charges.
Foster and Usher have a tough road ahead, but several of his celebrity friends sent them well wishes through Twitter. Surprisingly, Usher protégé Justin Bieber hasn't yet commented on the situation via Twitter - he's currently in Japan.
"My prayers go out to Usher and his family!" actress Tia Mowry wrote.
"Our prayers are yours Usher, Tameka & to all those who have put love into your son. Our prayers are with you as well. Be strong," actress and mom Jada Pinkett-Smith tweeted.
"All prayers go out to Tameka Raymond …and Usher and their son I have no words for such a tragedy," the former TLC singer tweeted.
"My prayers go out desperately to Tameka and Usher Raymond. May God shine light on your entire family," the talk show host tweeted.
"My thoughts are with Tameka and Usher and their family, such a tragedy," the "Glee" actor tweeted.
"My deepest prayers go out to Tameka, Usher and both of their families right now," the rapper tweeted.
"My heartfelt prayers for Tameka and Usher. Can't even imagine..." Diggy's father, Russell Simmons, added.
