Casey Aldridge Is "Doing Well," Says Uncle

Following his weekend car accident, Casey Aldridge "is doing well" as he remains in a Mississippi hospital, says his uncle, Odus Jackson.

Aldridge, 19, along with two of his four passengers, were thrown from his 2008 Ford F-250 pickup when it rolled over in Louisiana early Sunday morning.

"There was just a little swelling, but he's alert," Jackson tells Usmagazine.com of Aldridge, who not wearing a seat belt and was charged with careless operation of a vehicle. "They're keeping him under precaution for a couple of days to make sure that no bleeding starts, but at the moment he's still resting well and doing well."

Jackson said that Jamie Lynn Spears - the mother of Aldridge's 10-month-old daughter Maddie - has been by his side, along with other family members.

"He's been talking, and they were keeping him awake as much as possible," Jackson tells Us. "It looks like hes probably going to be over the danger."

It doesn't look like Aldridge will have to undergo surgery, he adds.

"I think they're going to keep him under observation for about three days," Jackson tells Us. "Doctors are telling him that he should recover to full normalcy. It'll just take some time for it to all heal up the brain. As I told somebody, he stepped over a snake, thankfully."
