Carrie Underwood won the fourth season of "American Idol" in 2005 and has taken the music world by storm ever since. In addition to getting praise and recognition for her voice, she's also gotten plenty of attention for her fashion picks. By now, she's a Grammy Awards veteran and has attended several ceremonies. So which years did she wear fabulous gowns to the Grammys and which years did she make some fashion mistakes?
2007
She won multiple Grammys in 2007 including one for Best Female Country Vocal Performance and one for Best Country song. She won for her red carpet look as well. The beauty wore a shimmering platinum Badgley Mischka gown.
2008
The country singer wore a beautiful dress, but it just wasn't right for the Grammy Awards. She wore a colorful floral print Zuhair Murad halter-style dress that would have been much more appropriate for a less formal spring event. That year she won a Grammy for Best Female Country Vocal Performance.
2009
At the 2009 Grammys, Carrie won an award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance. Her dress, however, only gets half praise. She wore a gold Zuhair Murad gown that had vertical embellishments down the front and three bands going horizontally around the bodice. All three bands just looks awkward; one would have sufficed. Other than that, the dress is gorgeous. That same year she was named Entertainer of the Year by the Academy of Country Music and in December, her boyfriend, Mike Fisher, asked her to marry him. It was quite the year for her!
2010
Not a fan of the dress at all. He straight hair looked sleek and stylish but the dress just looked confusing. The left strap of the white and silver Edition by Georges Chakra dress was off the shoulder while the right sat on the shoulder. The dress also had an asymmetrical design on the bodice. She won a Grammy that year for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals. Her date for the evening was her fiance who she married in July of the same year.
2011
The songstress didn't attend the Grammy awards in 2011. She was nominated for Best Female Country Vocal Performance but lost out to Miranda Lambert.
2012
The country cutie wore a Gomez-Gracia white backless long-sleeve gown that was embroidered with sequins. Her hair was pulled back in an elegant updo. Although the gown would have been even better had it not been so high cut in the front, she still looked stunning. She was nominated for Best Country Solo Performance but lost to another hugely talented singer, Taylor Swift.
Which outfit is your favorite look?
