Carrie Ann Inaba Calls Off Engagement—Other Broken Engagements This Year

Carrie Ann Inaba split from her fiance.

It looks like she won't be doing a wedding dance after all.

"Dancing with the Stars" judge Carrie Ann Inaba will be returning for her 15th season at the judges' table without a ring on her finger. The 44-year-old "DWTS" judge recently announced that she and her fiance, Jesse Sloan, have called it quits.

Sloan famously popped the question when he and Inaba appeared on "Live! With Regis and Kelly" last year, after he met the perky judge through the online dating site, eHarmony.

Carrie Ann Inaba's broken engagement is the latest in a slew of sad splits in 2012. Who else has called it quits?

    Bret Michaels and Kristi Gibson

The Poison frontman turned reality star called off his engagement to longtime girlfriend, Kristi Gibson, in July-- after 17 years and two children together! Bret Michaels famously proposed to Gibson on the finale of his VH1 reality show, "Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It." But with Michaels living single again, the big question is: Is it time to start casting for "Rock of Love 4?"

    Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis

Actor Johnny Depp and his longtime love Vanessa Paradis, announced their split in June. The pair had been together for 14 years and have two children, Lily-Rose, 14, and Jack, 10. And while they never officially announced an engagement, last year Paradis was spotted in the pages of UK Vogue sporting what appeared to be an engagement ring. After the split, Paradis told French Elle: "I don't have the recipe for happiness, but I think the engine is simply having the desire. I hate, for example, whenever you hear someone say 'You have work at being a couple. No, you have to want to be there. And for me, I want to be right where I am right now.'"

    Maria Sharapova and Sasha Vujacic

The tennis pro and her pro basketball player fiancé split earlier this year after being engaged since October, 2010. According to ESPN, Maria Sharapova said, "We have a tremendous amount of respect for each other. Still would love to call him a friend…It was a really nice period of time for both of us, but you know, our career schedules just made it extremely difficult to see each other with the traveling." Vujacic's move to Turkey didn't help matters!

    Trace Cyrus and Brenda Song

Once upon a time, Miley Cyrus's big bro was engaged to Disney star Brenda Song, but they announced their split in June. "Brenda and I have decided to go our separate ways," Trace Cyrus said in a statement. "I wish Brenda the best and much success in the future. I hope everyone can respect our privacy about this situation." But a Cyrus wedding is still in the works: So far Miley's engagement to Liam Hemsworth is still on!
