Candy Spelling - the mother of
Tori Spelling - has shelled out $47
million for a 16,500 square-feet, two-story condo in the Century
City residential tower in Los Angeles the
Los Angeles Times
reported Tuesday.
"She will be moving into it, though it won't be up for a year or
so," Spelling's attorney, Stephen Goldberg, who confirmed the sale
Monday, told the
Los Angeles Times.
Goldberg continued, "It will be the most spectacular penthouse in
the state of California and maybe anywhere.
Spelling, 62, currently lives in a 123-room mansion in the Holmby
Hills neighborhood off Sunset Boulevard that at 56,500 square feet
it is the largest home in Los Angeles County.
The sprawling home, on six acres, comes complete with 16 bathrooms,
a bowling alley, a doll museum and a gift-wrapping room.
According to the
Los Angeles Times, Spelling's new pad will
have a massage room, an exercise room, staff quarters, a dining
room for 25 guests, a 4,000-square-foot master bedroom suite and a
conservatory with a rose garden, as well as a swimming pool and
deck.
Spelling's husband, TV mogul Aaron Spelling passed away in
2006.
"The Manor is an awfully big property for one person," Goldberg
said.
He added that one promised, "Nine figures and change plus a
jet."
Meanwhile, daughter
Tori Spelling is writing a book tentatively titled
Mommywood, a followup to her best-selling memoirs Tori
Telling.
Mommywood will focus on her life as mom to one-year-old son
Liam and
newborn daughter Stella with husband Dean
McDermott.
"Writing my first book
sTori Telling was an amazing
cathartic journey for me," Spelling said in a statement.
"Now, being a mom of two beautiful babies, I'm excited to share
more stories as I embark on this new chapter of my life," she
added.

Spelling, 35, and McDermott, 41, star on Oxygen popular
Tori
& Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood reality show.
The actress has also been tapped to reprise her memorable role of
Donna Martin on The
CW's spin-off of Beverly Hills, 90210, airing
this fall.
