Madonna initially wanted basketball player
Dennis Rodman to father her first child, her brother Christopher Ciccone reports in his new tell-all book, according to the
New York Post.
The singer, now 49, also considered
Melrose Place star John Enos, Ciccone claims, before she got pregnant with trainer
Carlos Leon and gave birth to their daughter Lourdes in 1996.
Madonna, though, was "not sure [Carlos] fulfills the intelligence requirement" to father her child, Ciccone writes.
Leon recently was spotted at the Kabbalah Centre in NYC with Lourdes,
Madonna and her two children with husband
Guy Ritchie.
(
Madonna and Ritchie are currently denying a divorce is pending despite
attorney consultations and
her late-night visits with Alex Rodriguez.)
Meanwhile, former baseball player Jose Canseco has told Us Weekly: "
[Madonna] wanted to get married and have a child with me " she wanted a Cuban child."

He says her husband Ritchie is homophobic and "swells noticeably" when around gay men.
Ciccone claims
Madonna's first husband,
Sean Penn, forced him to be "blood brothers" " and sliced their thumbs to exchange blood. Years later, the actor asked Ciccone, who's gay, if he has AIDS.
As for
Madonna's fling with John F. Kennedy Jr.?
Ciccone reports that
Madonna said, "I feel like I am repeating Marilyn [Monroe] and the president."

Madonna also has "an 8-by-12-foot photo of herself in S&M gear and lying on a bed with dead animals in her home," the
Post reports, citing the book.
It's "the creepiest thing I've ever seen," Ciccone writes.
