Britney Spears is seen at Rockefeller Center during the Christmas tree lightingGetty PremiumAccess Hollywood
NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. -- Despite a rousing
performance on "Good Morning America" of her hit single,
"Womanizer," and online reports that Britney Spears had pulled out
of a scheduled live performance for the Rockefeller Center
Christmas tree-lighting ceremony, Access Hollywood has
learned that the pop star was never scheduled to perform
live.
A NBC source told Access Hollywood that Britney was
never due to perform at the festive holiday event. Instead Britney
pre-taped an appearance for the NBC special, which takes place
tonight.

Live performers scheduled for tonight include Miley Cyrus, The
Jonas Brothers, Beyonce, Stephen Colbert, The Muppets, and
more.
The pop star's appearance is just one of the many events keeping
her busy this week. On Tuesday, her sixth studio album, "Circus"
was released, coinciding with her 27th birthday.
