In a new documentary, Britney Spears tearfully admits "there's no excitement, there's no passion" in her new controlled life, according to U.K.'s The Sun.

"I have really good days, and then I have bad days," she says in the 90-minute Britney: For The Record (airing Nov. 30 on MTV). "Even when you go to jail, you know there's the time when you're gonna get out.

"But in this situation, it's never ending," she adds. "It's just like [the movie] Groundhog Day every day."

She hit rock bottom in January when she was forced to undergo psychiatric treatment after losing custody of her sons to ex Kevin Federline.

She says she is still paying for the public meltdown -- during which time she shockingly shaved her head.

"I think it's too in control. If I wasn't under the restraints I'm under, I'd feel so liberated," she says of her life. "When I tell them the way I feel, it's like they hear, but they're really not listening.

"If you do something wrong in your work, you can move on, but I'm having to pay for a long time.

"I never wanted to become one of those prisoner people. I always wanted to feel free," she adds.

Still she says, "I think I've learnt my lesson now and enough is enough."

    I don't think we are really listening to what she is saying. I don't think it's just that her dad is in control of her assets. I think just the fact that she has been "branded" a nutcase, and has to prove herself every day. Everyone is watching, and I can see how that could be at least as bad as jail.     You people are too critical. Why can't everyone stop criticising her while she is getting better. When she was doing bad all everyone did was tlak bad about her and now she is getting better and all everyone is doing is putting her down even more. She is improving and that is all that matters.
