Once upon a time, it looked like Britney Spears's career was over. However, it's safe to say that her past breakdown is well behind her. The former teen star is having a big year in 2012, and she just received some more good news. Britney was recently added to the upcoming Whitney Houston tribute show, which tapes this week and will air in November. The tribute features talented singers like Usher, Celine Dion, and Jennifer Hudson. For Brit, who also recently showed off her rainbow-styled hair, this is just the latest achievement her solid year. Here is a look at some of the other things going on in Britney's life that should make her very happy.
She joined "The X Factor"
It seems like singers are turning up on reality shows on a regular basis, so we shouldn't be surprised to see Britney get in on the craze. After a disappointing first season, Simon Cowell and the brains behind "The X Factor" decided to revamp the show. Along with Demi Lovato, the addition of Britney as a judge was the biggest move. Her first episodes have aired, and things have already gotten strange. In one episode, the star is seen freaking out over a thunderstorm. If nothing else, Britney sure does make the show a little more interesting.
She's happily in love
Britney's bizarre love life has been frequent tabloid fodder, but she seems to be happy with Jason Trawick. The two became engaged this past December, and their relationship is still going strong. Earlier this year, rumors began to surface that the wedding was off. However, those turned out to be false and reports suggest that Britney is thrilled about getting married again. In addition to being in love, the two also have a strong working relationship with Jason serving as his future bride's manager.
She's still making music
Britney's music comeback really took shape in 2011 with her "Femme Fatale" album. The album was a critical and commercial success, and Britney is ready to capitalize on that momentum. She will have a song on the upcoming will.i.am album, and a music video is expected to accompany it. Meanwhile, new tracks continue to turn up as speculation swirls about her next album. This past April, the unreleased single "Ouch" turned up online.
