The verdict? She looks great! We prefer the look, definitely.
The simple style has us reminiscing about Spears' styles from the past few years - and there have been plenty of them.
Going, Going, Gone
We still remember where we were when a mid-meltdown Spears shaved off her blond hair in favor of a bald head. It was very apparent - to both friends and fans -- that Brit needed some serious help.
"There's just so much you can do to help a person," her former assistant, Felicia Culotta, wrote after the incident. "I cannot convince her in ANY way to love herself. ... I cannot save her from herself, nor can I commit her to any type of treatment program against her wishes and will. I am throwing my hands up and realizing that I am helpless over another."
Her parents eventually took control of her life and she seems to be on the up-and-up.
In the Pink
Spears was still in the midst of her life crisis when she donned a pink wig and a British accent in 2008. Sources told People at the time that she might have multiple personality disorder.
"When someone has dissociative identity disorder" - formerly known as multiple personality disorder - "each identity is split off from the other," L.A. psychologist Renee A. Cohen told the magazine at the time. "Each identity would have its own name, memories, behavioral traits and emotional characteristics."
Spears' parental intervention stopped her from shaving her head and wearing pink wigs, but it didn't end her hair woes. The singer apparently forgot to use a hairbrush in June 2010 when she was spotted with ratty blonde extensions and a visible bald spot. It might have looked ridiculous, but it's likely the extensions just needed to be changed.
And the bald spot? One of the many hazards of constantly using extensions.
Does Britney care what we think about her hair? Obviously not - and that's the way it should be.
