LOS ANGELES, Calif. (August 28, 2007) â" Bridget Moynahan is "very pleased" that her ex-boyfriend, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, was with her when she gave birth to their baby last week.
"Actress Bridget Moynahan gave birth to John Edward Thomas Moynahan on Wednesday, August 22nd. She is thankful for a healthy baby and is excited about being a mother," her rep said in a statement to Access Hollywood. "Moynahan was very pleased that the father, Tom Brady, was able to be there for the birth and spend a few days with their new child."

Brady had reportedly said last week that he hoped to get time off from pre-season practice to be there for the birth, but that it was up to the approval of his coach, Bill Belichick.
"Bill has a lot to say," Brady acknowledged, according to the Associated Press, "so we'll deal with it when it happens."
Apparently he got that approval!

Brady and Moynahan split in December after a three-year relationship. Brady is currently dating supermodel Gisele Bundchen.

12NEGaLderrick, I thought that too, some women as they get older want kids whether the man: does or not, is going to be around, or will marry them. I am by no means saying this is one of those cases, b/c I don't know anything about their relationship past or present, but that thought did cross my mind when I heard they split & she anounced she was pregnant after.
