Brad & Angelina Get Golden Globe Nods, 'Button,' 'Frost/Nixon,' & 'Doubt' Lead Nominations

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Terrence Howard, Brooke Shields, Rainn Wilson and Elizabeth Banks announced the 66th Annual Golden Globe nominations in Beverly Hills Thursday morning.

"The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,""Frost/Nixon" and "Doubt" lead the Golden Globes with five nominations each. "Doubt" received four acting nominations.

Other best drama nominees Thursday included "The Reader," "Revolutionary Road," "Slumdog Millionaire" and "The Visitor."

Meryl Streep was a double nominee for best dramatic actress for "Doubt" and musical or comedy actress for "Mamma Mia!"; and Kate Winslet was also honored twice with a best actress nomination for "Revolutionary Road" and supporting actress for "The Reader."

Also nominated for dramatic actress were: Anne Hathaway, "Rachel Getting Married"; Angelina Jolie, "Changeling"; and Kristin Scott Thomas, "I've Loved You So Long."

Nominees for dramatic actor are Leonardo DiCaprio, "Revolutionary Road"; Frank Langella, "Frost/Nixon"; Brad Pitt, "Benjamin Button"; Sean Penn, "Milk"; and Mickey Rourke, "The Wrestler."

The Globes nominated a few surprise performances including Tom Cruise for "Tropic Thunder" and James Franco for "Pineapple Express," which both received joyous and surprising laughter from the crowd in the audience.

In the television world, NBC's Tina Fey award show winning streak could continue with a nomination for her show, "30 Rock," nabbing a nomination for best comedy series and best actress in a comedy or musical. Alec Baldwin also earned a nomination for his role on "30 Rock."
