Brad & Angelina Among Vanity Fair's 'Influential' List

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt aren't just the world's most famous couple. They're also now being called the most influential.

The superstars were collectively ranked number nine on Vanity Fair's annual "100" list, where they joined such luminaries as former Vice President Al Gore and Apple CEO Steve Jobs at the top of the rankings of the magazine's "New Establishment."

A number of other celebrities made the cut, including a laundry list of directors - "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" helmer Stephen Spielberg (number 14), "Star Wars" impresario George Lucas (23), and Pixar creators John Lasseter, Andrew Stanton and Brad Bird (28). Comedy mastermind Judd Apatow was 58, thanks to the success of films such as "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" and "Knocked Up," while "The Da Vinci Code" producer-director team Brian Grazer and Ron Howard scored in at 66. "No Country For Old Men" Oscar winners the Coen brothers arrived at 85.

Among the list's actors were "Da Vinci's" Tom Hanks (34), Brad's pal and "Burn After Reading" co-star George Clooney (55), and Robert De Niro (59).

Oprah Winfrey beat out Comedy Central funnymen John Stewart and Stephen Cobert for top talk show host, though only by one spot - Oprah ranked 43, while Stewart and Colbert were 44 and 45, respectively.

A few musicians made the list as well, with rapper Jay-Z - who recently scored a $150 million deal with Live Nation and reportedly tied the knot in April with R&B star Beyonc Knowles - charting at 56, while "Margaritaville" singer Jimmy Buffett made the cut at 97. U2's politically minded front man Bono was 36 and forever young Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger was 61.

Leading the list was Russian prime minister and former president Vladimir Putin, who the magazine says has helped Russia, "rebuild its military, restore its pride, and re-assert its place in world affairs."

The lack of respect is even on Al Jazeera..they love Michael Moore!Roseanne Barr, needs Michael for a date. When you donate all your hard working money, 65% is it for illegals from medical to social security..you may rethink!

Leading the list was president Vladimir Putin who helped Russia, "rebuild its military, restore its pride, and re-assert its place in world affairs." Yeah, this man has restored it's pride as being the most horrifically oppressive government next to Hilter. The taking over of a democracy like Georgia, is really good for Russia's place in the world. Once KGB alw
