Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z were just named the highest paid celebrity couple of 2012. So could Jay's "Watch the Throne" collaborator Kanye West steal the crowns from the King and Queen of Bringing in Cash by marrying Kim Kardashian?
According to Forbes, Bey and Jay brought in a combined $78 million this year. Beyonce edged out her man to be the bigger breadwinner with $40 million to his $38 million.
Meanwhile Yeezy raked in less than both of them by putting a cool $35 mil in the bank. His Kardashian really struggled to keep up by making just $18 million. If Forbes included Kimye on its list, they would finish third behind David and Victoria Beckham, whose combined income was $54 million.
But Kim and Kanye have to show the world that their love will last if they want to earn a spot on the Forbes list in the future, and since Kim isn't making half as much as Beyonce, she and Kanye are going to have to try to best her and Jay in other ways:
One of Kim's first ways of displaying her love for Yeezy was by wearing a pair of diamond-studded "K" and "W" earrings, and she's also become a walking billboard for the rapper's fashion line - the reality show star has been teetering around in his ridiculous $6,000 pearl-encrusted shoes, which look like they're adorned with a pair of rolled-up gym socks. Unfortunately Kim just hasn't been as creative as Bey when it comes to showing her man how much she cares about him - the "Single Ladies" singer definitely upstaged the Kardashian with a special manicure that featured tiny prints of her and Jay's faces. To top that, perhaps Kim should consider getting a special Yeezy tattoo.
A baby that's born to be a star
The world immediately fell in love with little Blue Ivy as soon as she was introduced to the world, so Kimye will need their own little bundle of joy to use as a brand. And of course they'll have to come up with an even krazier name that definitely will have to start with the letter "K" - Keezy or Kizzy, perhaps? Then the world can have fun speculating about whether or not Kim is wearing a fake baby bump and giving her baby Botox injections. Kim's little tot could even end up being a bigger star than Blue Ivy since he/she would be growing up on TV.
Making sweet music
Unfortunately Kim and Kanye will have a difficult time topping Jay and Bey here - if you've heard Kim's "Jam (Turn It Up)," then you know that she shouldn't try to sing Yeezy a love song. However, Kanye is trying to compete with Jay's song "Glory," which features Blue Ivy crying, with his romantic song about Kim. Jay-Z should love "Perfect B***ch" since it features one of the "99 Problems" singer's favorite words.
