Eschewing the tabloid photo shoot route, Beyonce and Jay-Z have released the first photos of their 1-month-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter (the rapper's real name is Shawn Carter) on her very own Tumblr page, HelloBlueIvyCarter.

The five shots include the proud new parents each cradling their baby girl, who has a full head of hair.
"We welcome you to share in our joy. Thank you for respecting our privacy during this beautiful time in our lives," reads the note on the page, which is signed "The Carter Family."
