A few days after performing "At Last" at the inauguration, Beyonce received a phone call from Michelle Obama to thank her for performing, the singer, 27, reveals in April's Vogue.

"She told me she was very happy that her girls have someone like me to look up to," says Beyonce. "And I'm like, 'Oh, my God.'"

See what all the stars wore to the inauguration

"You have to feel fortunate to be one of the people whom parents don't mind their children looking up to. The older I get, the more I think about the amount of influence I have on these young girls, and it's scary sometimes," she adds. "But I also understand how lucky I am to have that."

Look back at the first children over the years

Beyonce thanks for family for helping her stay so grounded. She says she can't imagine having her career without them around.

"We all did this together," she says.

As for her husband, Jay-Z ?

"I definitely have learned to be a little more picky from Jay," she says. Because if something makes a lot of sense to everyone else, if he doesn't feel it, he's like, 'I don't want to talk about it.' Which is great."

I cannot believe it either, she sales sex. If it were not for sex she would not even have a career. I cannot believe they are role models for the kids.

I would not want my daughter to be on stage in her underwear - that should be left for her husband eyes only. Plus, I wouldn't want my 18 yr old to be out there that early. Michelle needs to stop....
