    Bethenny Frankel and Snooki Give to Hurricane Victims: Other Stars Stepping Up to Help Sandy Survivors

    Snooki's new boyfriend is in the relationship for fame only.

    New Yorker Bethenny Frankel opened her pocketbook. New Jersey resident Snooki opened her closet. Both reality stars are stepping up to help hurricane victims in the days following Sandy.

    The former star of "The Real Housewives of New York City" has reportedly donated $50,000 to the Red Cross which was matched by her company Skinnygirl cocktails to help cleanup efforts under way in New Jersey. The "Jersey Shore" star cleaned out her closet of any extra robes, blankets and sweats to help out those in need.

    "Bethenny is an East Coast girl," a source tells US Weekly. "And hopes the stream of donations from people all over America and the world will reach those affected, save more lives and help build back the East Coast. It is so important in times like this that we come together and help in any way we can."

    For her part Snooki tweeted, "Cleaning my closet today to donate clothes and whatever I can do the victims affected by sandy! I'm comin with clothes!!!!" She later posted pics of bags of blankets, clothing, and more all ready to be donated to the Red Cross.

    Alec Baldwin

    : The "30 Rock" star is taking to the streets to help his New York neighbors following Sandy. For his part, the actor returned to his East Village apartment building to help his elderly neighbors who were stranded without power with meal delivery and dog walking duties.

    Jon Bon Jovi: He's a New Jersey boy at heart! The musician is joining with fellow east coast celebrities to put on the NBC sponsored telethon "Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together" which airs tonight. Joining hims will be Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Jimmy Fallon, Mary J. Blige, and Christina Aguilera.

    Stephen Colbert and Cyndi Lauper: The stars have taken to Twitter to urge fans to donate $10 to the Red Cross by using their cell phones to text REDCROSS to the number 90999.

    Chelsea Handler: The late night funny woman stepped up and let her money do the talking when she donated $100,000 to the Red Cross on Thursday night.
