A new report claims Bethenny & Jason’s marriage has become so strained that the two are considering divorce!

After months of non-stop arguing — their fights have been documented on Bravo’s Bethenny Ever After — reality couple Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy are reportedly calling it quits. Though it’s always heartbreaking when a couple separates, especially when young children are involved, news of the split isn’t all that surprising for fans of the series.

Throughout the season, the pair has argued about everything from business to birthdays to sex, and even sought professional help (aboard a boat nonetheless) to combat their issues. “We’re off course,” Bethenny revealed in a recent episode. “That’s what we’re doing in our lives: we keep having the same argument over and over again.”

Despite intensive therapy and romantic Mexican vacations, the couple couldn’t seem to overcome their problems. “They are going to get a divorce,” a source told Star. “She has been preparing for this for a while. It’s imminent.”

Both parties recently met with divorce lawyers to get the process underway. Though official papers have yet to be signed, Bethenny has already been spotted canoodling with her Skinnygirl business partner, Matt Hesse. The two were seen holding hands at Philippe Chow‘s NYC restaurant in February looking more like a couple than work associates.

“They walked through the restaurant with his chest pressed up against her back, and she leaned back and he whispered in her ear,” revealed a source. “Then they went up the stairs to a private dining area together, literally with their arms wrapped around each other.”

Although Bethenny has openly admitted to having marital problems, she never hinted that a third party could be the cause. “Jason has said that when he is ready to officially file for divorce, he is ready to call Bethenny out on her infidelity and name Matt in the papers,” admitted an insider.

If the pair decides to go through with the divorce, the Skinnygirl creator could stand to lose millions. “He stands to get quite a bit,” explains NYC divorce attorney Danielle Petitti, noting that infidelity will play no factor in the division of assets.

According to Forbes, Bethenny earned $55 million dollars from May 2010 to May 2011 and inked a deal with Fortune Brands’ Beam Global in 2011 for over $100 million. The pair also purchased and gut-renovated a $5 million dollar condo in NYC’s trendy Tribeca neighborhood just last year.

“New York is an equitable distribution state meaning that anything obtained from the date of the marriage to the date someone files for divorce is presumed marital property,” says Danielle. “If Skinnygirl was her pre-marital property, Bethenny can claim that it is not marital in and of itself, but Jason will probably claim that he contributed to its growth and appreciation during the marriage.”

Due to the discrepancy between their incomes, which interestingly, was a large source of contention on the show, Jason also stands to profit from spousal support. “The amount of spousal support one receives is based on a formula, but assuming Jason earned $100,000 dollars per year and Bethenny earned $500,000, Jason could receive over $10,000 per month,” Danielle added.

“He feels absolutely entitled to half of her fortune,” echoed the insider. “He feels betrayed and doesn’t care about Bethenny’s financial fallout once he gets what he wants. It’s all karma.”

For sweet little Bryn‘s sake, let’s hope the two can part amicably.
