Celebs attended the Grammys on February 10 and strutted their stuff down the red carpet with careful consideration to the new dress code. Despite the conservative changes at an awards ceremony, where it was common in the past to see plenty of wild and wacky fashions that showed off lots of skin, this year many stars kept it extra classy and still looked absolutely fabulous. However, there were a handful who stood out for their incredible looks from head-to-toe. Which stars came out on top for being the best dressed at the 2013 Grammys?
The Barbados-born beauty looked stunning in a red slightly sheer Azzedine Alaia gown that had criss-cross detailing on the bodice and a flowing train. She opted for minimal accessories and went with long wavy locks and bright red lips. RiRi walked away with a Grammy for Best Short Form Music Video but lost out in the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Pop Solo Performance categories.
The model and soon-to-be wife of John Legend kept it sexy and classy in a black Joy Ciocci gown that showed off her midriff as well as her enviable legs with a thigh-high slit up the skirt. Black lace detailing took this otherwise boring dress and made it something special. She wore her hair in beachy waves over her left shoulder and opted for sparkling diamond earrings, a diamond bracelet and a sea-foam green clutch to complete the look.
The actress -and Katy Perry's date for the evening- wore a strapless column KaufmanFranco gown that was encrusted with black diamonds from top-to-bottom. The design and detailing was absolutely jaw dropping. Although the hair left a little something to be desired, her makeup was lovely.
T-Swizzle looked beautiful in a white J. Mendel gown that had a plunging neckline and silver straps on the bodice and wore her hair in an updo that consisted of a braid headband. Although she looked gorgeous and was one of the best dressed, she's worn white so many times to awards ceremonies in the past year that it'll be nice to see her in a different color for the next event. Taylor opened up the Grammys with a performance of "We Are Never, Ever, Getting Back Together" in which she seemed to take a shot at her latest ex, Harry Styles. She lost out in the Record of the Year and Best Country/Duo Group Performance categories, but walked away with a Grammy for Best Song Written for Visual Media.
One of the best fashion surprises of the evening was the "Pocketful of Sunshine" singer who wore a red lace Emerson gown that had cutout detailing at the sides and a gold belt around the waist. She finished off the look with a matching gold clutch and red satin heels. A soft wavy hairstyle and red lips added the perfect touches to a fabulous look.
So let's hear it! Who gets your vote for the best dressed at the 2013 Grammys?
