The Battlestar Galactica prequel will take flight as promised — and soon! Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome will premiere online Friday.
The pilot, which Syfy passed on in March, will air on the YouTube channel Machinima Prime in 10 seven-to-12 minute chapters. After the series concludes in February, Blood & Chrome will premiere on Syfy as a two-hour movie before being released on Blu-ray, DVD and VOD.
Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome won't fly on Syfy
The anticipated prequel follows a young William Adama (Luke Pasqualino) as he takes charge of his first battlestar, the Galactica, in the midst of the first Cylon war. Ben Cotton plays Adama's co-pilot Coker, who butts heads with the ambitious leader.
Blood & Chrome comes from a range of Battlestar and Caprica vets, including executive producers David Eick and Michael Taylor and director Jonas Pate.
