NEW YORK, New York -- Barbra Streisand's "Streisand The Concerts" DVD set has been certified gold and platinum in the United States in its first two months of release, according to the Recording Industry Association of America.
The RIAA also announced that the 3-disc Streisand package has achieved the highest sales for any music DVD during 2009. The super-selling set reigned for three weeks as No. 1 on the Billboard Top Music DVD chart as well having a multi-week run atop the charts in the United Kingdom.

This brings Streisand's total of gold DVDs or videos to eight and her platinum DVDs or videos to five. Three of them have also gone multi-platinum.
Two of the discs showcase in their entirety two of her most memorable concerts, one each from the record-breaking 1994 and 2006 American tours. The third disc contains special exclusives, including 17 songs never before released on DVD and behind-the-scenes moments.

"Streisand The Concerts" is a collection of moments and highlights from Streisand's legendary career and includes more than 60 songs spanning classics such as "Funny Girl," "The Way We Were," and "People," as well as the never before performed "The Music of the Night," and "Somewhere" with Il Divo.
