At long last, there's a baby on the way for Bill and Giuliana Rancic.
The couple, who faced many obstacles in their struggle to become parents, have announced that they will welcome their first child later this summer. The baby, which is the biological child of Giuliana (37) and Bill (40), will be born with the help of a gestational carrier. The mom-to-be, who recently underwent a double mastectomy after being diagnosed with breast cancer, says "We are so thrilled that our prayers have been answered." Her husband and " Giuliana and Bill" costar adds, "We are absolutely ecstatic to be sharing this with everyone who has been following our journey." The duo confessed that they do know the sex of their unborn child, but they are "seeing how long [they] can keep it a secret."On their reality show, the pair have spoken candidly about their struggles with infertility, their heartbreaking miscarriage, and their longing to have a baby. We could not be happier for the expectant parents, and we wish them much joy and congratulations on their long-awaited new addition.
It's been a huge month for baby news, and a number of other couples have recently announced that they're expecting a visit from the stork.
Costars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, who portray part-fairy waitress Sookie Stackhouse and Civil War-era vampire Bill Compton on the hit series "True Blood," are expecting their first child. The baby, which is reportedly due this fall, will be the first child for Anna; Stephen has two children - a son and a daughter - from a previous relationship. After becoming engaged in August 2009, Paquin (29) and Moyer (42) tied the knot in Malibu in August 2010, surrounded by members of the "True Blood" cast and crew. Their wedding was officiated by the series' script supervisor, who is also a minister. Actor Todd Lowe, who plays Merlotte's cook Terry Bellefleur, brought his band to play at their reception.
Actress Melissa Joan Hart (36), best known for her title role in "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch," is expecting her third child with husband Mark Wilkerson (35). The pair tied the knot in 2003 and are parents to two incredibly cute sons, Mason (6) and Braydon (4). In an interview, Hart spoke about her desire to have more children, saying "Having a big family has always been very important to me, and I would hate for my kids to not be able to experience that."
Looks like singer Taylor Hanson and wife Natalie have "MMMBop'd" once again, and their rep has confirmed that the couple are expecting their fifth child. Taylor (29), the middle and arguably best-known Hanson brother, first met Natalie (28) in August 2000, and the pair wed in June 2002, when they were four months pregnant. The duo, who are rivaling Brangelina in brood size, are already parents to Jordan Ezra (9), Penelope Anne (7), River Samuel (5), and Viggo Moriah (3). The proud father said, "Natalie and I are so anxious to meet our fifth mini-Hanson, as are the four siblings at home who are counting the days to the arrival."
Kelly Stables, better known as Eden on "The Exes," is expecting her first child with husband Kurt Patino. The 34-year-old actress, who also plays Alan's secretary/girlfriend Melissa on "Two and a Half Men," is due sometime this fall. The couple, who wed in March 2005, are reportedly "over the moon" about their new addition.
"Downton Abbey" star Dan Stevens (29) is expecting his second child with wife Susie. The couple, who met in 2006 and tied the knot in 2009, walked the red carpet at this month's Olivier Awards, with Susie (36) sporting a sizable baby bump. The actor, who plays Matthew Crawley on the hit series, mused about having children, saying "I don't think there's ever a right time to have kids. I'm actually pretty glad it's happened quite young."
Congratulations to all the expectant couples!
