LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- A new "Hills" feud may be brewing.

Earlier today, reports surfaced online that "Hills" reality star Lauren "LC" Conrad had engaged in some sort of romantic liaison with Justin Bobby, the on-again-off-again paramour of her former housemate Audrina Patridge. And, now, Audrina is speaking out via her personal Web site.

"I woke up this morning and it seems like just about every gossip magazine or blog has a story about Lauren hooking up with Justin," Audrina wrote. "I'm not sure what to believe. Though Justin and I have not been exclusive for quite some time, these rumors are very confusing and hurtful."

Whether it was due to a potential upcoming story line for "The Hills" or simply not wishing to engage in the speculation, Audrina refrained from weighing in on the veracity of the story in her post.

"I can't comment on whether they are true or false," she wrote.

But it appears the story may have started before reaching the press today.

During an interview with Fox News on Thursday, "Hills" "star" Spencer Pratt hinted Audrina needed help from the heavens, telling the outlet she was going through "personal problems."

"My real prayers go to Audrina; she really needs it at the moment," Spencer said. "She is going through a lot, I just wish her and her health all the best."

Though he offered his support, Spencer refused to confirm what the problems concerned.

"Something big is wrong, but it is up to her as to whether she wants to go public with it," he said.

As for LC, she suggested in a statement to In Touch on Friday that she wouldn't date a man with washing habits different to her own, a reference to Justin Bobby's generally unkempt rocker look.

"These accusations are so crazy it's difficult for me to take them seriously," she told the magazine. "While my usual taste in guys isn't always perfect, I do prefer they shower regularly."

And later, in a post on her MySpace Celebrity blog, Lauren officially denied the rumor.

"I have never even been in the same place as Justin when Audrina wasn't around," she blogged. "I have been there for Audrina for years of ups and downs with this guy. Now she is accusing me of hooking up with him? It's the most awkward position to put me in because I can't defend myself without putting both her and Justin down.

"Bottom line, I did not and would never hook up with Justin," she wrote.

LC also said she was upset over Audrina's reaction to the rumors.

"The worse thing is knowing that a friend, that I've known for years and even shared a home with, thinks that I'm capable of that kind of betrayal," LC wrote. "I would NEVER hurt a friend like that!"

    I think LC needs to wake up, Audrina is a back stabber like Heidi. LC is way more classy and cutier than the both of them thats why they are so jealous. LC just continue to surround yourself with true friends and give Audrina the boot.

    The bottom line...Spencer is a jerk, at least that's my opinion of the guy. Heidi is such an idiot for putting up with him. She has to know that he is the one that makes up all the LC rumors, but she completely denies being aware of it or that Spencer has done anything wrong at all.     I think it rather pathetic that Spencer is so obessed with being such a force in Hollywood that he crafts these scenarios that turn friends against one another. You see he's failed at every attempt to produce a show, song etc on his own so he's just trying to get a spin off of LC's show from his antics. LC, I luv u grl.     Lauren seems pretty straight up and honest. I believe she didn't hook up with JB. Besides he's seriously icky and she's made her point of being disgusted by him.
