BURBANK, Calif. -- One day after a warrant was issued for his arrest, Shia LaBeouf sent his lawyer to court to clear the air.
Attorney Michael Norris appeared in a Burbank, Calif., court on Wednesday morning and entered a not guilty plea on Shia's behalf to a charge of unlawful smoking.

Shia, the star of "Transformers" and "Indiana Jones," was cited by Burbank police on February 18 for allegedly smoking on the sidewalk outside of a gift shop in downtown Burbank.
A $1,000 bench warrant had been issued for Shia, after neither he nor his lawyer appeared in court on Tuesday.

The next hearing for the actor is set for April 24.
