Anne Hathaway is arguably one of the most lovely actresses in Hollywood with her classic looks and fabulous figure. For her newest role as Fantine in "Les Miserables," she dropped 25 pounds and admits in the January issue of Glamour that her weight is a big cause of stress in her life. In the interview, she explains "I still feel the stress over 'Am I thin enough? Am I too thin? Is my body the right shape? There's an obsessive quality to it that I thought I would've grown out of by now. It's an ongoing source of shame for me.'" While recently doing promotion for the movie, her face and figure have been nothing short of flawless. Her fashion choices, however, are another matter. So how did her recent fashions worn during promotional events for "Les Miserables" rate on the red carpet?
Tokyo photo call
On November 28, the pixie-haired stunner was in Tokyo doing a photo call, where she donned a black Antonio Berardi dress that consisted of halter straps, spaghetti straps, a large cutout keyhole detail in the front, and criss-cross straps in the back with cutout detailing. The dress isn't exactly bad, but it hangs heavy on her thin frame. There's also way too much solid black going on. A different color shoe or some sparkle around the waist would have made a positive difference.
New York screening after party
On December 2, the 30-year-old attended the New York screening after party of "Les Miserables" where she wore a deep blue dress by The Row. The dress had pom-poms hanging from the sleeves and a rather interesting triangular neckline. A silver belt and bracelets finished off the look. The thing about this dress is that if it were on a hanger, it's easy to dismiss it and keep going. However, the actress somehow makes it work. It's not a jaw-dropping frock, but it looks good on her.
London world premiere
The highly anticipated London world premiere of "Les Miserables" took place on December 5 and unfortunately, Anne's fashion choice was a huge flop. She wore a white cold shoulder beaded Givenchy gown that had a halter neckline and huge sleeves. The sleeves take away from the look and are completely distracting, while the beading makes it look like she had static cling. This dress is such a disappointment from someone capable of so much more.
What do you think of her recent fashion choices?
