While some fans are still adjusting to CNN anchor Anderson Cooper's recent revelation that he is gay, the latest rumors have he and his live in boyfriend, Ben Maisani getting married as soon as Labor Day.
Who is this mystery man putting a face to Cooper's cryptic assurances that "I love, and I am loved," in his famous coming out letter to Daily Beast writer Andrew Sullivan? He's a well built 39-year-old Parisian transplant. Here are a few more things Cooper fans may find interesting about his partner.
He's a Business Owner - Maisani is co-owner of a gay bar in New York called Eastern Bloc which opened in 2005.
He's Smart and Cultured - Maisani graduated with a 4.0 from New York's Hunter College in 2000. He may look like a clueless muscleman, but he hold a B.A. in the refined specialty of art history and once worked in an art museum. Maisani originally came to the US to study film.
Just Call Him Ben - Although his given name is Antoine, he goes by Benjamin.
They Remodeled an Old Firehouse Together - Cooper reportedly sold his condo so the pair could select, remodel and inhabit a place together. They chose an old Firehouse and worked together to convert into a townhouse.
He's Been Around for Awhile - The pair have reportedly been dating for more than two years. Over time Cooper has become increasingly more comfortable appearing in public with his paramour.
In March 2010 the pair were spotted at Vanity Fair's Oscar party, though the photographer only managed to snap the back of Maisani's head. Then In Jan 2011 the Village Voice reported that the couple attended a birthday party for gay club promoter Josh Wood. In October they were photographed partying with Fergie at the Edison Ballroom.
