The country-singing contestant on ‘America’s Got Talent’ was busted for domestic abuse ten years ago claims his ex-wife.

There’s no denying that country crooner Sgt. Timothy Michael Poe has “got talent”, but he also allegedly has a wrap sheet for domestic abuse. And the show’s producers had no idea! “I had him arrested in June 2002 for domestic violence,” Kelly Ballard, one of Timothy’s two ex-wives told The New York Post. “He went to jail. Then I felt bad and I bailed him out. Then he left and I didn’t see him anymore.”

Kelly, an Air Force veteran who spent ten months in Iraq, said she used money saved while serving overseas to pay for her 2004 divorce. The two have an 11-year-old son that Kelly claims Timothy fails to support. “Anytime I have caught him in lies or it would get bad, he would just move,” Kelly explained. “It was disturbing… I think he is sick. I don’t know if he believes all this stuff or what. His whole world is a big lie, and I don’t know where it begins and ends.”

According to public records, Timothy has lived in 16 different residences since 2000 — not including his two-week stint in Afghanistan for the National Guard in 2009.

NBC executives have not decided if Timothy will compete in future episodes of the show, however he is expected to appear on the Vegas episodes, which air the week of June 25.

Do YOU think Timothy should be kicked off America’s Got Talent?
