Adele Pops Middle Finger at Brit Awards: Other Stars That Have Flipped the Bird

Classy lady Adele had a not so classy gesture at the Brit Awards.

It seems like the middle finger is making the news a lot lately. Not long after M.I.A. took the spotlight for flipping the bird at the Super Bowl, singer Adele did the same at a British awards show. The Grammy winner apologized for her actions after the fact. She said the act was directed at the people running the show. The singer felt she was interrupted while making a speech. Whatever the case may be, Adele is now just another celebrity that can't help but flip her middle finger while the cameras are rolling. Here are some celebrities that had similar incidents.

    M.I.A.

This one is still fresh in our memories. While performing with Madonna during the half time show at the Super Bowl, the British singer randomly raised her middle digit in front of the camera. The incident immediately reminded viewers of the infamous wardrobe malfunction with Janet Jackson years earlier. NBC scrambled to apologize and Madonna voiced her displeasure. It didn't matter how good the show was after that. The middle finger will always be the story of Madonna's Super Bowl performance.

    Bono

Bono has become much more than just the lead singer of U2. The rock star has become the voice of charitable causes around the world. You would think that a guy like that can do no wrong. Yet, photographs of Bono flipping the bird while on tour in Germany proved that he isn't above us in every way. It is unclear why he was flipping everyone off but it is safe to assume Bono was trying to get some sort of statement across.

    Ashton Kutcher

The former husband of Demi Moore is no stranger to popping the middle finger. The most notable photograph has him posing with his former wife and Oscar winning actress Penelope Cruz while sitting in the audience at a show. The star of "That 70's Show" has made ill-advised statements in the past and been forced to apologize. However, he usually uses Twitter for that.

    Madonna

The Queen of all things musical might have been unhappy that M.I.A. stole the spotlight at the Super Bowl. But we might easily forget that Madonna's early career was built in the image of a bad girl. As such there are several shots of her flipping off the camera. She might be a nice girl now but we should never forget about the Material Girl era.
